As the Nonprofit Quarterly nears 30,000 followers on Twitter, we would like to say “thank you” to all of our friends. So, for a chance to have your Twitter featured on all of our social media sites AND to help your favorite organization win a free ad (two winners!) in our print magazine or online newsletters, all you have to do is follow these steps:

  1. Tweet an answer to this question, using only five words: What does your nonprofit community represent? This could be what your own organization represents, or what your sector symbolizes, or anything that applies.
  2. Add @npquarterly
  3. Add @[the Twitter handle of your favorite nonprofit organization]
  4. Add #np5words
  5. Tweet!

If you follow those steps, your tweet will be eligible to be featured in a cool infographic on all of our social media sites, with your Twitter handle and organization included! We will post two of the best answers each week.

And, when we reach 30,000 followers on Twitter, we will count up how many times each organization is mentioned (step 3)—the one with the most mentions wins the first-place prize, and the runner-up organization wins the second-place prize.

First place winner: free half-page ad in The Nonprofit Quarterly magazine

Second place winner: free ad in our daily newsletter, which goes out to over 20,000 subscribers

Note: The winner must be a nonprofit or an organization focused on social good and must be able to create an ad to our specs.

Get your friends to help out too (remember, each new mention gets your favorite organization closer to a free ad) and we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
