The Torrent

alt

Each week on The Torrent we take the torrential downpour of information on the web, distill it into a fine spirit, and serve it nice and neat in your favorite tumbler. This week: the spies among us, oil spill at NPQ, and retiring via Twitter. Relax, enjoy.

There is hope, however—at least at the local level. One innovative restaurant has figured out a way to feed everyone that comes through its doors.

And lastly this week, we witnessed an end to an era. Larry King has decided to call it quits after all these years. He’s finally hanging up his suspenders. And in a sign of the times (and again evidence that you just can’t escape the torrent) CNN broke the news via Twitter.

I’ll leave you with some (17) things to ponder on your own. I need to get back to work. Here are 17 recommended music and movie websites from Paste Magazine. May I personally recommend She & Him?

Relax, enjoy. Til next time.
